The model release, also known as a Liability Waiver, is an agreement between the photographer and model setting the terms of image ownership, usage, and releasing both parties of liability.  Most model releases will state the name of the model and photographer, age of the model, terms of compensation if any, how the images can be modified and used and releasing the photographer of any inappropriate actions.

The model release is signed at the end of the session and needs to be signed by a parent or guardian if the model is under legal age.
